PALAZZO MADAMA is one of the famous palace in Turin .
It was the first Senate of the Italian Kingdom, and takes its traditional name from the embellishments it received under two queens of the House of SAVOY.And now it is famous of its collection .
1)THE FACADE PHOTO
2)THE BACK PHOTO as you can see is a fort.
In the early 14th century, they enlarged it into a castle. A century later Ludovico of Acaja rebuilt it in square shape, with an inner court and a portico, and four cylindrical towers at each corner.
THE ORDER OF CLASSIZM
In the fadade of the palace on the upper side ,there are four typical Composite columns for suporting function ,others on the wall instead of independent columns but as the carve are more for decoration ,however,still are Compsite style.
On the down side of the facade ,the four columns are in innovative order.As we can see from the picture,the carve on the columns are four sets of helmet and armour,thought they didnt sculpture the people inside, it still illuminate its royal style vividiy.
INNER STRUCTUR
Baroque ceiling
Architect Filippo Juvarra designed a new Baroque palace in white stone, but the works halted in 1721 after only the front section had been completed.
